Jeff Goins, author, blogger, and speaker joins me this week. Jeff speaks on a variety of topics including writing and storytelling, as well as marketing and making a difference in the world. In 2011, his blog was voted one of the “Top 10 Blogs on Writing” by WritetoDone.com, and his writing has been featured on some of the most popular blogs on the Internet, including Copyblogger, Problogger, and Zen Habits (voted byTIME Magazine as one of the top 50 websites of 2008).

Jeff's first book, Wrecked: When a Broken World Slams into Your Comfortable Life, was just released in August, 2012. It spent two weeks in the Top 100 Books list on Amazon.com and has already gone into a second printing.

    I have really enjoyed listening to your podcasts. I started listening about three weeks ago but have actually listened to all of them now. I have an hour long (50 mile) commute to work, so I’ve really appreciated them. You’ve turned me on to all of your guests, I now follow Michael Hyatt’s podcast as well now. I’ve visited all of your guests sites, so they should know that you are helping them get a following. 
     
    I started a new blog myself and just launched it today while I was listening to your show with Jeff Goins. My blog is going to focus on breaking the habit of bringing my work home with me through some strategics I have learned and developed myself.     Who do you have lined up next? It seems that all of your guests so far fit into a circle of bloggers and the like. Do you think you’ll ever be able to get Seth Godin or Leo Babauta on the show?

    That is an excellent practice, one I need to to more often. The next episode comes out tomorrow, and don’t worry, I have a number of interviews already done, and another chunk in the works. There’s a long list, and I hope to get more diverse as time goes on. I think you will see that happen in the next few weeks even.
